Day (1) - Arrival in Amman
Upon arrival, you will be met by the our Representative who will assist
you through immigrations and customs, and he will escort you to your hotel |
Day (2) - Amman - Dead Sea
You will visit the Roman Amphitheater, which dated back to the second century
AD, the Roman Ruins of the Citadel Hill, and the Archaeological Museum, then your adventure will
continue with a visit to the Ashrafia Mosque and the King Sport City.
In the afternoon you will drive south of the main road to Jerusalem until
you reach Suweimeh, where the road will lead you approximately one mile to the Dead Sea the lowest spot
on the Earth Surface, 1306 feet below sea level. The Dead Sea is 46 miles long and 310 miles wide
with no outlet. It is a scenic oddity by day it is silvery blue, and by the night it glistens in the moonlight. |
Day (3) - Desert Castles.
South and east of Amman, you can visit Desert Castles built by early Islamic
Ummayyad Caliphs in the seventh and eighth Centuries A.D, such as Qasr Amra, Qasr Kharanah, Mushatta,
Qasr El Hallabat and Azraq Castles. Here are some of the best preserved examples of Ummayyad
Art and architecture, including castles, baths, mosques, water and agricultural systems, mosaic
floors and painted wall frescoes. |
Day (4) - Jerash - Ajloun
You will be driven north to visit Jerash, which was known as the city of
a 1,000 Pillars. You will also visit the Triple Arched Gate, the Huge Hippodrome, The Theatre, and the only
Roman Forum surrounded by 63 Ionic columns.
Twenty minutes west of Jerash and Ajloun is the imposing Arab Castle of
Qalaat El Rabad, from where the forces of Salahedin ( Saladin ) launched their successful
campaigns
against the Crusader. |
Day (5)- Amman-Mt.Nebo -Madaba - Kerak - Petra
You will be driven southward along the King's Highway, one of the oldest
trade routes in the world which runs 200 miles along Jordan's hilly backbone. You'll stop at the Byzantine
Church of Mt. Nebo, and then proceed to Madaba where you will see a unique Mosaic Map of Palestine.
You'll visit the Great Crusaders Castles of Kerak, and continue to Petra for overnight. |
Day (6) - Petra - AQABA
The Rose Red- City of the Edomites, and later the Nabateans, who carved
a breathtaking empire out of the solid mountain rock hidden a canyon, Petra reveals ruins of
Nabateans,
Roman and Christian Centre of Worship. The tomb of Aaron, the brother of Moses, is located nearby,
as well as Wadi Mousa, " the Spring of Moses". To discover this ancient attraction you will take a horse
back ride through the Siq, the only access to this city carved out of the Rose Colored
Rock, you will
visit the Treasury, Theatre Tombs, Hall of Justice and Palaces. In the late afternoon you will leave Petra
for Aqaba. |
Day (7) - Aqaba
Free day for swimming and relaxing or you can take an Optional Tour to
Wadi Rum which is known as the
Lawrence of Arabia. |
Day (8)- Aqaba - Amman - Home
After Breakfast, you will be driven to the Aqaba Airport for a short flight
to Amman for your connections back home. |
